I want to extend a  warm welcome on behalf of the people of Genesis The Church.  Each person who walks through our doors is important to us because each person is important to God.

We desire to answer your questions regarding God, worship, the Bible, and Genesis The Church.  We are a church committed to teaching the Word of God, and growing in our relationship and knowledge of Him.  We are also determined to aggressively carry out the great commission of Christ by reaching out to tell others about the love and hope that is found only in Jesus.

You only have to glance around you to see that this is a new church that has recently been planted in the Pocono community.  Our church family is proud of our new beginning and excited about Christ's faithfulness to us in the midst of the trials that we have had to endure.  But more than that, we are looking forward to seeing how God will use our church for His glory in the future.

Getting to know the people and allowing them to love you is where you will find the joy of Genesis The Church.  Take some time to get to know us and help us get to know you.  There is a place for you in this place of new beginnings!

Food for Thought

  • He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.

  • The Church at Sardis

This city of Sardis was once considered to be one of the greatest cities in the world. At that time it was the capital of the fabulously wealthy kingdom of Lydian. The most famous king to rule Lydia was King Croesus who was at that time the wealthiest man on earth.

  • The Collaspe of Human Government

The events recorded in chapters 17 and 18 focus on the final judgment of the great city of Babylon. The events recorded in chapter 17 (religious Babylon) will be fulfilled at the midpoint of the seven year tribulation period. The events given in chapter 18 (political Babylon) will take place at the end of...

  • Defending The Faith

Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you  about  our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

  • The Exterminated Become The Exterminators

At the beginning of the book, Haman's hate focused on just one man, the man named Mordecai. He hated Mordecai because he refused to bow down before him or pay him homage. As the book of Esther develops, we see Haman's hate for Mordecai growing until his goal is to destroy all of Israel....

  • The Beauty of a Godly Servant

Six Characteristics of a Godly Woman
    1. (v.9) Esther exhibits a grace - filled charm and elegance. 2. (v.9) Esther exhibited a teachable spirit.  3. (v.10) Esther exhibited unusual restraint and control. 4. (vs.12-17) Esther exhibited an unselfish modesty. 5. (v.15) Esther exhibited the ability to be liked. 6. (v.20) Esther exhibited a humble...

  • Giving is a Direct Reflection of Your Relationship with God

Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians. “Teacher,” they said, “we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others,...

  • Learning How To Walk by Faith

While the old sinful nature of the believer has been crucified with  Christ, it is not yet dead. It may not enjoy the power and control it once had over us but it can still influence us if we’re not careful!

  • Seeking God's Will In Our Lives

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written:...

  • Our Lords Message to the Church Then and Now

Unlike the believers who lived in ancient Smyrna, most of us may never face the danger of losing our life for being loyal to Jesus. Instead, we most like may be struggling under the pressure of an unreasonable boss, or fighting to keep a sinking business afloat, or suffering from verbal jabs from an...

  • Woe to the Crown of Pride

It is hard to believe that one person can make a difference in the course of human events. But if Esther is subtracted from this Old Testament story, there is no Jewish nation, there is no Jesus, there is not Bible, there is no church, and there is no hope for the salvation of...

  • The Coming Final Judgement of God

In this chapter we learn that the Babylon that stands in  opposition to God's people today (beheading of Christians and the extermination of Israel) will continue to oppose God's people to the end of time. This is proof that the heart of man is totally corrupt and desperately evil.
